HISTORY OF HUOT'S
91 YEARS OF BUSINESS

Our Past
In 1935, during the Great Depression, Adelard J. Huot and Doris Corriveau Huot purchased Huot's Seafood Restaurant. Doris quickly created the iconic recipes for onion rings, clam cakes, and seafood batters, which are still used today. The business was passed to their sons, Adelard O. (Del) and Roger Huot. In 1997, Roger became the sole owner and ran the restaurant with his wife, Rachel. In 1999, Roger sold Huot’s to his daughter, Denise, and son-in-law, Gerry Gelinas.
Today
Fast forward to today, Ian Flanagan and Jonathan Corpina, with deep family ties to Ferry Beach, are involved in the business, alongside Robbie Gillin and Alan Waugh, who bring 25 years of restaurant experience. The team is committed to continuing the legacy of Huot’s, honoring the traditions and recipes that made it a local favorite. Inspired by the community’s support for Gerry and Denise, they will maintain the same dedication and passion to keep the restaurant thriving.
